Mason is a set of brick four-story buildings along Bluff Creek Drive and Village Drive, next to The Lawn and its play area.

Monthly costs and fees
Up to about $975 a month in recent listings. The $375 master fee covers basic Hotwire cable and internet, the CenterPointe Club and The Resort (gyms and pools), the parks, playgrounds and courts, and 24/7 community security; the beach shuttle is funded separately. Phase II homes do not pay Mello-Roos. Owners here pay for water separately. When a home sells, a 0.75% Community Enhancement Fee goes to Playa Vista Community Services, partly to help preserve the Ballona Wetlands. It is a cash closing cost that cannot be financed. Buyers sometimes take it on in a hot market, but most of the time I see it split between buyer and seller. I pull the current HOA budget before a client writes an offer.
